5 out of 5 "NAIM XS 2"
Ive owned the XS 2 for almost 10 years running it with a Naim CD player. Its perfect with a good CD player and was a good step up from my previous Naim 250s/72/Hicap. More features at lower cost. I owned a Supernait 2 for awhile but went back to a XS 2. I think its the best value. (Full Review)

5 out of 5 "naim CDS3 vs CD5XS"
CDS3 is wonderful but its very expensive. The Naim CD5 XS uses the same PCM redbook converter made in chip form, the R2R multi-bit PCM 1704-K (selected) dac chip, 2 of them] and the CD5XS has the best HDCD filter chip, the PMD200. Naim should restart manaufacturing the CD5XS. (Full Review)

5 out of 5 "SONY TA-FE530R"
Solid, beautifully built amp. Very sharp, detailed, precise sound, works very well with Mission 731 Pro speakers. Sound may be too clinical for some people. The Sony TA-400 has a warmer, heavier sound but is not as controlled. I really can't fault this amp. For my ears it is perfect. (Full Review)

5 out of 5 "Mordaunt Short MS 3.10 owned since new"
These speakers were purchased new in Harry Moore's in Dublin in the early 90's. They were for my bedroom at the time and after listening to the opening scene of Top Gun on VHS in the shop, I spent my 100 old Irish pounds. They have served so well over the years and are still working perfectly. They have hung on walls, sat on floors, shelves and cabinets. What a sound. Considering upgrading to something with broader range, and passing them onto ... (Full Review)

5 out of 5 "Great speakers"
More than ten years after they were first manufactured, these set of speakers still astounds me with their strong, dynamic and yet sophisticated and truly delicate sound. They are genuinely capable of playing anything, whether it is jazz, classical music, pop, or rock. Do not hesitate to get a high-quality preowned B&W 685 S2 set if you have the opportunity. 3 out of 5 "JBL TLX12 wrong information!I have them myself"
I got them free from my then work, they were surplus to requirement!? But they are bass reflex and not a closed box, and they certainly do not weigh 16 kg. More like 16 pounds. But apart from that, they really are good, but I am probably not the best to judge... they sound great to me! [Editor's Note: Specifications updated as per the information within the review. Cheap as chips little speakers from 2005. Picked them up to connect to a Fosi amp and dac for my humble desktop PC system. I have owned a number of active speakers as well as some highly rated passive speakers over the last 20 years. These little Gale aren't going to beat the Linn speakers I owned or the B&W speakers. But they beat the £200 active speakers easily. It is a relatively neutral sounding speaker which will reveal the quality of your ... (Full Review)
